She didn’t have to go far though. The second she stepped back into the main room she saw him. He was standing at a table … a table where there was a women bent over. A woman he was fucking.

For a moment she saw red and then she felt tears stinging her eyes. What the hell is going on, she asked herself. She didn’t like how seeing him with another woman made her feel. Why the fuck had she even come, she screamed at herself.

Before she allowed herself to say or do something she would regret later on, she turned and headed out of the building, her dress half on and half off.

Silas was shocked to see her come out like that and without Nate, but he opened the limo door without asking any questions and went back to his post to wait for the boss.

Nate was giving the girl an angry fuck. How dare Hadley take control like that in front of him, and with a man? He was furious but could not allow her to know that. He was letting off some steam before he saw her again.

And he saw her again before he expected to. He saw her come out of the room. He saw her looking around, for him he presumed. He saw her set eyes on him and he saw her take off for the exit door.

Apparently she didn’t like how it felt either, he though smugly to himself before kicking himself mentally. This is exactly what he had worried about. He said it wouldn’t happen and yet it did.

He was more angry with himself than with her. It was his fault for bringing her here. The thoughts swirling around in his head actually caused him to lose her erection, and pulling out of the stranger her grabbed his clothing and headed to get dressed and head to the limo.

Of course the girl he was fucking wasn’t too pleased with him …

“Silas has Hadley come out?” he asked knowing full well that she had.

“Yes, sir. She’s asleep in the limo,” he answered although he knew that she was only faking sleep so as not to have to face Nate.

He got into the car and looked at her with confusion. What happened? What had gone so wrong? She looked so beautiful there with her eyes closed and her face looking restful.

“Hadley, are you awake?” he said gently. When it appeared that she was not, he left her alone.

“Home Silas,” he told his driver.

“Well, to drop off Hadley at her home and then, yes, home. It’s been an incredibly long night that I’d like to forget as soon as possible.”

Without another word, Silas pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards Hadley’s house. Somewhere on the way, she really did fall asleep. She was awoken by Nate gently shaking her shoulder.

Her eyes slowly opened but her brain quickly remembered the evening that sent her racing back to the car alone. All she wanted to do was get into her bed and forget the entire night.

“Hadley, you’re home. Um, I think we may need to have a conversation about tonight,” he told her.

That was the last thing she wanted to do! She needed more time than what the ride home gave her to get her thoughts together before they talked about anything else.

“Not tonight, Nate,” she told his shocked face. She had never said no to him before about anything! “Please, I just need some sleep. Can we just talk tomorrow?”

He didn’t want any time to pass before they talked but what choice did he have? “Okay, if that’s what you are set on doing. Tomorrow then,” he said to her back as she was already getting out of the car.

He had never seen her move as fast as she did that night. The fact that it was to get away from him was nearly painful for him to watch. He curse himself under his breath as he waited to ensure she got inside safely before they pulled back onto the street and headed towards home.

He was ready to get home as well. He had a lot to think about and it was nothing that he looked forward to.

Hadley went in the house and straight to the shower. There was no way she could have talked to Nate about anything right now. She had no idea what she was feeling and she didn’t really want to think about it.

Once she was out of the shower and dried off, she got right into bed and closed her eyes tight. Tomorrow she would talk to Roni about her “experience” and figure things out from there. All she needed was some sleep …

  THE FINALE

  Dear Hadley,

It is very regretful the way things have ended between us. I thank you for the time you spent with me learning the ways of a submissive. However it has become clear that we are not well suited for each other. I do not feel that you were cut out for this special type of relationship. Enclosed is a check to help you cover any expenses you may incur until you book takes off, which I know it will. I hope I have provided you with enough information as far as your research goes. Good luck in all you do,

  Sincerely, Nate

Hadley read and reread the letter, seething with rage more and more each time. How dare he dismiss her like that! This whole thing was all his fault for taking her to that skanky club and leaving her for some stranger! She hated him for making her feel so … so what? She had no idea how to finish that thought.

She could not believe that she ever allowed herself to get involved in such a sorted affair to begin with. It was so unlike her. But now that it was over she was glad. At least that is what she kept telling herself. Of course her best friend had other ideas.

“You know why you are so mad, right?” she said.

“No but I bet you are going to tell me anyway,” Hadley replied.

“It is because you are in love with him,” she answered.

Hadley just laughed at the ridiculous idea that she was actually in love with Nate. He was so not her type and she could never love someone who had such twisted ideas about sex. No matter, it was done and over with.

She had all she needed to complete her book so she didn’t need him for that. She could go out and get laid anytime she wanted, if she wanted, so she didn’t need him for that either. She would finish up her book and then close the book on this part of her life. Close it up and forget about it.

  Dear Nate,

Regretful is not the word I would use to describe out last encounter, but either way it really does not matter. I have more than enough information for my book so you have served your purpose and are no longer a necessary part of my life. Enclosed is the check that you sent to me. I do not need your money and I am not your whore.

  Sincerely, Hadley

Oh yeah, she was most definitely pissed off, Nate thought to himself. This was a new situation for him. On one hand he knew that she was replaceable. On the other hand he hated the thought that he had hurt her.

He had an odd feeling in his chest and he worried that his feelings for Hadley were more than he had bargained for. He was not the type of man who fell in love. He was the type of man who dominated women, not the other way around.

He decided that the best thing that he could do was begin interviewing new subs. That always made him feel alive again. Hadley was a thing of the past and he was glad of it … at least that is what he kept telling himself.
